These completely cordless buds, now called ‘true wireless’ by the tech industry, are one of our favourite products of the year. Falling somewhere between high-end audiophile buds costing three times as much and the entry-level models with poor fit and unreliable connectivity, these performed like a perfect audio partner.
Unlike other true wireless buds these don’t stick out too much from the ears to end up in a fight with gravity, but there is still enough to wrap your fingertips around to make them easy to insert and remove without fear of dropping. Sound quality was great, helped along by aptX support, which preserves sound quality over Bluetooth. The wireless connection was among the best we’ve tested at any price. Normally true wireless buds won’t let you leave the room where your phone is before the music falters and fails, but we had no such issues here, which is one benefit of using the latest Bluetooth 5.
