Sometimes, when trying to help relatives with an issue on their computer from afar, it’s better to get remote access to their device rather than trying to instruct them on what to do.
Chrome Remote Desktop’s site makes it really easy to access another person’s computer remotely (with their permission, of course). What makes this a useful alternative to something such as TeamViewer is that no installation of external software is needed. Rather, both users just need to visit remotedesktop.google.com/support/ using Chrome. The site will install an extension to enable the software. The user who is receiving support then shares the access code with the person who is giving support, which enables the remote access connection.
