Screen capture extra options

To take a picture of your PC’s screen, most people know to press the PrtScn key (for Print Screen), which places an image of the screen on your clipboard ready to paste it into other applications.

However, sometimes you won’t want to share your whole screen, just a portion of it. Windows has a surprisingly simple, but powerful, tool for this. To capture a portion of the screen, go to the magnifying glass next to the Start button and type ‘snipping tool’ (or look under Start, Windows Accessories). Click on the tool that appears. The Snipping Tool allows you to capture portions of the screen using a variety of techniques. You can even add notes and doodles to the screen snippet.
